Math Instructor / Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium of North Alpharetta is seeking an instructor to teach K–12 students using the Mathnasium Method™. Instruction may take place in-center and/or online. Instructors work collaboratively with team members to provide individualized instruction in a group setting, assess students’ learning progress and engagement, and become proficient with digital educational materials and processes. The position offers consistent, part-time hours after school and on weekends, a supportive work culture, training in teaching methodologies, and opportunities for advancement. Curriculum and instructional tools are provided. The center is independently owned and operated by a Mathnasium franchisee, which is responsible for employment matters.
Requirements
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- Math competency through at least Algebra I.
- Pass a math literacy test as part of the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Teach students in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement during instructional sessions.
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
