As a Materials Artist at Visual Concepts, you will be responsible for defining the visual aesthetics of player-driven experiences in WWE titles. Collaborating with the art team, you will create rich materials that enhance storytelling and elevate the realism of our environments. Your technical expertise in PBR shaders and material authoring will be crucial in troubleshooting issues and ensuring high-quality output. - Strong opinions on naming conventions
- Ability to work with the art director and environment artists
- Knowledge of best practices for applying materials to in-game assets
- Ability to pilot new methods and advanced techniques for materials and shaders
- Ability to keep the library of materials well organized and easily searchable
- Optimization of materials for target platforms while maintaining artistic integrity
- Ability to provide estimates, manage time, and meet deadlines
Benefits
- A portfolio demonstrating 3+ years of experience with console games as an Artist, with a minimum of one released title
- Proficiency in the creation of high-quality materials using Adobe Substance Tools
- Experience creating physically based materials and a deep understanding of real-time physically based lighting
- Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and work efficiently within a game pipeline
- Familiarity with asset tracking tools like Perforce, and JIRA
- Experience with real-time, physically-based lighting
- Experience with Python scripting
