Material Technician/Packager, 2nd Shift

About The Position

The Material Technician/Packager reviews order instructions, labels and packages materials according to customer specifications and quality standards, and uses assigned tools and equipment safely. The role identifies and reports damage or quality issues and follows safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment. The technician works collaboratively with the production crew to meet assigned goals and takes on additional job-related responsibilities as assigned. This is a second-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 2:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., with overtime as required. The starting rate is $17.00 per hour, with possible higher pay based on experience, plus a 10% shift differential. The role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to be considered for promotional opportunities.

Requirements

Minimal manufacturing and/or warehouse experience is required.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to operate assigned equipment safely.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to mount and dismount equipment.
Ability to walk, climb, and bend for periods of time.
Comfort working in hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
Basic computer skills, such as data entry and retrieval.
Lift truck operation experience.

Responsibilities

Identify and report damage or quality issues.
Follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment.
