About The Position

RRD is a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions. This role is for a Material Handler on the 3rd shift, with a starting minimum rate of $19.06 per hour, including a shift differential. The schedule is Sunday through Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, with occasional overtime and weekend work required. A $3/hr shift premium is offered.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of general warehouse layout.
  • Basic knowledge of item identification codes.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and familiarity with storage areas to place or pull stock and materials.
  • Ability to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items according to operating instructions or guidance.
  • Basic knowledge of shrink-wrap equipment.
  • Ability to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements.
  • Basic skill in the use of shrink-wrap or strapping equipment, manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts, or hand trucks.
  • Basic skill in the use of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band shears, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels or other in-process product to and from equipment.
  • Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Load materials into trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
  • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices.
  • Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band them together using a banding machine and clincher.
  • Occasionally use automated equipment and/or operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
