About The Position

Pregis is hiring a Material Handler to support safe and efficient material movement and warehouse operations. The role uses a forklift to stage materials, load and unload trucks, and transfer materials within the plant and between departments. The Material Handler helps maintain an organized, FIFO-controlled warehouse, manages inventory locations, and prepares finished products for shipment. The position involves inside work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, exposure to moving equipment, heat that may exceed 90°F, humidity that may exceed 80%, and noise that may exceed 85 dB. Personal protective equipment is required. The listed base pay range is $30–$35 per hour; actual pay may vary based on factors including performance, proficiency, and competencies.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience.
• At least 1 year of inventory control experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to accept coaching and communicate respectfully with others.
• Ability to promote positive teamwork and communicate effectively and respectfully with the team and during shift transitions.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and guidelines in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
• Ability to organize, manage time, handle complexity, support process improvement and safety management, operate a forklift, control inventory, and perform lifting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with inventory control or warehouse management software, such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to stage material, load and unload trucks, and transfer material within the plant and between departments.
• Keep safety at the forefront of the team’s work and communicate and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, FIFO-controlled warehouse according to Pregis best practices.
• Maintain inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock and recording inventory locations.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, and securing products in the correct location.
• Contribute to team efforts and communicate professionally about ways to improve the work environment.
• Perform related duties as assigned and other responsibilities as directed or required.
