About The Position

This position performs duties in shipping, receiving, and inventory control to support production schedules and customer requirements. The role involves warehousing, inventory control, receiving, and shipping, including identification, traceability, proper handling, and storage. It also includes performing inventory transactions, complying with safety and hazardous material regulations, participating in safety programs, maintaining workplace organization, and communicating effectively. The Material Handler will safely operate a powered industrial vehicle daily.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years’ experience operating a powered industrial vehicle
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions and work rules/procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable operating procedures and material flow.
• Knowledge of standard inventory procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, or sit for long periods of time.
• Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
• Ability to wear required PPE to safely perform the job.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years’ experience operating a powered industrial vehicle
• Working knowledge of inventory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in warehousing, inventory control, receiving, and shipping, including identification and traceability along with proper handling and storage tasks.
• Perform inventory transactions such as transfers, issues, receipts using PC and barcode scanner.
• Comply with safety and hazardous material handling regulations and requirements for hazardous waste management.
• Actively participate in safety programs to promote the goal of zero incidents and injuries.
• Maintain all aspects of workplace organization.
• Provide clear and consistent communication on all activities to appropriate individuals.
• Safely operate a powered industrial vehicle daily.
• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts to local job sites (as needed).
