About The Position
EMR is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to work at its Lafayette depot. This hands-on role involves operating excavators to move and process metal in a recycling environment. The operator performs daily equipment inspections and maintenance, follows safety protocols, works outdoors in varying weather conditions, and supports the team with additional duties as needed. The role requires personal protective equipment and includes exposure to dust, fumes, and noise.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and ability to multitask.
- Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
