About The Position

The Master Level Automotive Technician performs advanced automotive maintenance and repair, inspects vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshoots issues to ensure vehicles operate appropriately and customers are taken care of. The role requires in-depth automotive repair knowledge and Master Technician skill, with work performed at a high-volume pace and to a high standard of customer service. The position offers weekly pay with an hourly guarantee and uses a flat-rate pay structure.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in automotive repair services.
• Professional engine and diagnostic experience.
• Expired or current ASE certifications.
• At least $25,000 in technician tools.
• Ability to commute 45 minutes to the Iowa City shop.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate and drive vehicles.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled mechanical work and analyze and diagnose automotive problems.
• Repair mechanical automotive systems, including drivetrain, electrical, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts while performing preventative maintenance on automobiles.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing automotive technology.
• Provide high-quality service to customers.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission, and core values when interacting with customers, coworkers, managers, and suppliers.
• Work both as part of a team and independently.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
