Master Level Automotive Technician
About The Position
The Master Level Automotive Technician performs advanced automotive maintenance and repair, inspects vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshoots issues to ensure vehicles perform appropriately and customers are taken care of. The role applies in-depth automotive repair knowledge and provides high-quality customer service. Technicians perform skilled mechanical work, including diagnosing and repairing drivetrain, electrical, brake, and air-conditioning issues; inspecting, replacing, or repairing defective parts; and performing preventive maintenance. They stay current with changing automotive technology, demonstrate company values in interactions with customers and colleagues, work both independently and as part of a team, follow company policies and safety standards, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional auto service and engine diagnostic experience.
- At least 2 ASE Certifications.
- Must have technician tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate and drive vehicles.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth automotive repair knowledge.
- Provide customers with service of the highest quality.
- Perform skilled mechanical work and analyze and diagnose automotive problems, including drivetrain, electrical, brake, and air-conditioning repairs.
- Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts and perform preventive maintenance on automobiles.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to keep abreast of changing automotive technology.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission, and core values when interacting with customers, co-workers, managers, and suppliers.
- Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
