About The Position

The Massage Therapist creates a serene, restorative, and memorable spa experience by providing personalized massage therapy and body treatments that support relaxation, wellness, and overall well-being. The role delivers safe, professional, and therapeutic services with appropriate touch, flow, pressure, and draping, while meeting Chumash Casino Resort and Gracious Hospitality standards. Team members maintain a warm and welcoming environment and demonstrate professionalism in every interaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate.
Valid California State or County Massage License.
At least one additional certification in reflexology, prenatal massage, or deep-tissue massage.
Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft applications, email, and the internet.
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Demonstrated innovation orientation, attention to detail, oral communication, written communication, and integrity.

Responsibilities

Provide multiple types of massage and body therapies, including multiple and consecutive sessions during a shift.
Conduct treatments according to treatment guidelines and follow the draping policy.
Assess guests’ needs, inquire about physical well-being, injuries, and allergies, and provide appropriate services.
Provide excellent guest service and communicate client self-care guidance.
Educate guests about and sell products, and upsell services to encourage return visits and retail sales.
Coordinate a smooth flow of services for clients booked with multiple therapists.
Maintain professional relationships with clients and team members.
Participate in and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, product knowledge classes, and team efforts.
Maintain inventory levels for products and supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Comply with national and state massage therapy regulations and guidelines.
Promote teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration while modeling company values, behaviors, and the One.Team.Chumash culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.
