About The Position

The Marlin Bar Host/Hostess helps create a welcoming guest experience and an upbeat, clean, safe, and professional environment. The role requires knowledge of food and beverage menus and hospitality standards, including telephone etiquette and greeting guests. The host/hostess maintains the host stand and restroom supplies and cleanliness, and contributes to a team focused on sales and service success. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools including hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools provided to complete the work.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Know all food and beverage menus.
• Apply hospitality standards, especially telephone etiquette and greeting guests.
• Keep host/hostess stand supplies stocked and organized.
• Monitor and stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Participate in a team environment that promotes sales and service success.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
