About The Position

The Marlin Bar Host/Hostess helps create a welcoming guest experience and brings the island spirit to life. The role requires knowledge of food and beverage menus and Hospitality Standards, including telephone etiquette and guest greetings. The host/hostess maintains an organized host stand, monitors restroom supplies and cleanliness, contributes to team sales and service success, and helps maintain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs. Pay ranges from $16.00 per hour (or minimum wage if greater) to $20.00 per hour, plus tips; the applicable rate varies based on experience, knowledge, skills, work location, and budget.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

• Know all food and beverage menus.
• Know and apply Hospitality Standards, especially telephone etiquette and greeting guests.
• Keep host/hostess stand supplies stocked and organized.
• Monitor and stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Participate in a team environment that promotes sales and service success.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
