About The Position

The Marlin Bar Host/Hostess helps bring Tommy Bahama’s island spirit to life by making every guest feel at home. The role involves knowledge of food and beverage menus and Hospitality Standards, maintaining an organized host/hostess stand, monitoring restroom supplies and cleanliness, and contributing to a clean, safe, professional, upbeat environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Know all food and beverage menus.
• Know and apply Hospitality Standards, especially telephone etiquette and greeting guests.
• Keep host/hostess stand supplies stocked and organized.
• Monitor and stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Participate in a team environment that promotes sales and service success.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
