About The Position

The Marlin Bar Host/Hostess helps create a welcoming guest experience and brings Tommy Bahama’s island spirit to life. The role includes learning the food and beverage menus and applying hospitality standards, including telephone etiquette and guest greetings. The Host/Hostess maintains organized host-stand supplies, monitors and replenishes restroom supplies, and helps keep the environment clean, safe, professional, and upbeat. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools provided to complete the work.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
• Apply hospitality standards, particularly telephone etiquette and greeting guests.
• Keep host/hostess stand supplies stocked and organized.
• Monitor and stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Contribute to a team environment that promotes sales and service success.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
