About The Position

The Marlin Bar Host/Hostess helps create a welcoming guest experience and bring Tommy Bahama’s island spirit to life. The role includes knowing food and beverage menus, applying hospitality standards, keeping the host/hostess stand stocked and organized, monitoring and maintaining restroom supplies and cleanliness, and contributing to a clean, safe, professional, upbeat environment. The Host/Hostess works as part of a team focused on sales and service success. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools including a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
• Apply Hospitality Standards, especially telephone etiquette and greeting guests.
• Keep host/hostess stand supplies stocked and organized.
• Monitor and stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Participate in a team environment that promotes sales and service success.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
