About The Position

The Marlin Bar Host/Hostess helps bring the island spirit to life by making every guest feel at home. The role involves knowing food and beverage menus, applying hospitality standards—especially telephone etiquette and guest greetings—and maintaining organized host/hostess supplies and clean, stocked restrooms. Team members contribute to a collaborative environment focused on sales and service success and help maintain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat workplace. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of the shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
• Apply Hospitality Standards, especially telephone etiquette and greeting guests.
• Keep host/hostess stand supplies stocked and organized.
• Monitor and stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Participate in a team environment that promotes sales and service success.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
