About The Position

The Marlin Bar General Manager helps lead the restaurant team and create a learning-focused, supportive environment for front-of-house team members. The role promotes sales and service success, supports internal career growth, and oversees restaurant expenses, training, policy execution, and safety. The manager works with restaurant employees and regional and corporate partners to maintain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning and nurturing environment for front-of-house restaurant team members that promotes sales and service success and internal career growth.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase qualified applicants, including proactively recruiting and mentoring the team.
• Facilitate company learning and training programs, and follow up and monitor performance to ensure learned skills are applied on the job.
• Manage individual restaurant expenses and ensure budgetary compliance.
• Cultivate open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team and regional and corporate partners.
• Ensure consistent execution of company policies and procedures.
• Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
