About The Position

The Marlin Bar Bartender creates a welcoming guest experience and brings the island spirit to life. The role requires thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. Bartenders verify government-issued identification when guests order alcohol, maintain appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits, and help sustain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of the shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Know food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
• Know beer, wine, and spirits.
• Verify guests’ government-issued identification when alcohol is ordered, as required by state and federal law.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits, including inventory control and ordering, according to projected business.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
