About The Position

Tommy Bahama is hiring a Bartender for its Marlin Bar. The role helps create a welcoming guest experience by bringing the island spirit to life and making guests feel at home. The Bartender maintains thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as beer, wine, and spirits. The position also involves verifying guest identification when alcohol is ordered, managing inventory and stock levels, and contributing to a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Scheduled shifts are determined by business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools provided to complete the work.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Maintain complete knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as beer, wine, and spirits.
• Verify proper government-issued identification when guests order alcohol, as required by state and federal law.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits, including inventory control and ordering, according to projected business.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
