Marlin Bar Bartender
About The Position
The Marlin Bar Bartender brings Tommy Bahama’s island spirit to life by making every guest feel at home. The role requires complete knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. The bartender verifies guests’ government-issued identification when alcohol is ordered, as required by state and federal law, and maintains appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits based on projected business. The position also helps create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.
Requirements
- Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
- Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
- Work shifts scheduled according to business needs.
Responsibilities
- Make every guest feel at home while delivering the Marlin Bar guest experience.
- Know food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, and have knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
- Verify proper government-issued identification when guests order alcohol, as required by state and federal law.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits, including inventory control and ordering, based on projected business.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
