About The Position

The Marlin Bar Bartender helps create an inviting guest experience by bringing the island spirit to life and making every guest feel at home. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. The bartender verifies government-issued identification when guests order alcohol, maintains appropriate inventory and stock levels based on projected business, and contributes to a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools provided to complete the work.
• Work shifts scheduled according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Know all food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as beer, wine, and spirits.
• Verify guests’ proper government-issued identification when alcohol is ordered, as required by state and federal law.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, including inventory control and ordering of perishables and spirits, based on projected business.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
