About The Position

The Bartender at Tommy Bahama’s Marlin Bar helps create a welcoming guest experience and an upbeat, professional environment. The role requires complete knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. The Bartender verifies government-issued identification when alcohol is ordered, as required by state and federal law, and maintains appropriate inventory and stock levels of perishables and spirits based on projected business. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools provided to complete the work.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Know food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as beer, wine, and spirits.
• Verify guests’ government-issued identification when alcohol is ordered, as required by state and federal law.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits, including inventory control and ordering, according to projected business.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
