About The Position

The Marlin Bar Bartender helps create an inviting guest experience by bringing the island spirit to life and making every guest feel at home. The role includes knowing the food and beverage menus, maintaining stock and inventory, checking identification when alcohol is ordered, and contributing to a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Scheduled shifts are determined by business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools including a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools provided to complete the work.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Know the food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as beer, wine, and spirits.
• Verify guests’ proper government-issued identification when alcohol is ordered, as required by state and federal law.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits, including inventory control and ordering based on projected business.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
