•$130,000 - $160,000

About The Position

Augury is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to build the systems, data, and operating practices that enable marketing to deliver measurable growth. The role owns marketing technology strategy, campaign operations, and performance measurement, with the goal of simplifying the technology stack, connecting customer and account data, improving execution, and clarifying what drives pipeline, revenue, and customer expansion. The manager will oversee the marketing technology roadmap and core platforms, including Marketo and Salesforce; implement useful AI and automation workflows; lead agile campaign operations; and establish trusted measurement and decision support. The role also owns lifecycle and data operations, including segmentation, scoring, nurture, tracking, enrichment, routing partnerships, and data quality. It leads and develops the marketing operations team, manages agency or contractor support where appropriate, and partners across marketing, sales, customer success, RevOps, Finance, and IT. Success means a clear technology roadmap with stronger platform adoption and less unnecessary cost and complexity; faster, more predictable campaigns with fewer errors and less rework; reliable lifecycle data and reconciled reporting; clearer visibility into the impact of investments; measurable gains from AI and automation; and an operations team with clear priorities, documented processes, and strong business partnerships.

Requirements

  • Experience leading marketing operations in B2B SaaS, with measurable improvements in execution, funnel performance, and technology efficiency.
  • Deep practical expertise in Marketo and Salesforce, including lifecycle architecture, campaign operations, data models, and integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience simplifying a technology stack and making build, buy, consolidate, and retire decisions.
  • Examples of AI or automation workflows put into production, including evaluation of quality and business value.
  • Strong analytical judgment, including attribution, funnel and cohort analysis, experimentation, and executive reporting.
  • Experience introducing agile practices that improved campaign throughput and predictability.
  • Technical fluency working with APIs, integration tools, data teams, and BI platforms, and investigating reporting logic.
  • Experience leading people, managing vendors and budgets, and influencing decisions across functions.
  • Willingness to work directly in systems when needed, alongside the discipline to build processes others can run.

Nice To Haves

  • SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing technology roadmap, including architecture, integrations, vendor relationships, adoption, and budget.
  • Manage core marketing platforms, including Marketo and Salesforce, and ensure responsibilities and data flows between systems are clear and reliable.
  • Evaluate technology against business needs, existing capabilities, total cost, and measurable value; consolidate overlapping tools and retire tools that no longer provide value.
  • Partner with RevOps, IT, and customer success operations to connect prospect and customer journeys across acquisition, retention, and expansion.
  • Establish documentation, access controls, and change management for the marketing technology stack.
  • Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities across campaign production, quality assurance, enrichment, segmentation, lead management, and performance analysis.
  • Redesign workflows to reduce manual work, shorten turnaround times, and improve consistency.
  • Build reusable workflows and agents with defined inputs, permissions, appropriate human review, and ongoing quality monitoring.
  • Test new capabilities against measurable improvements in speed, quality, cost, or business results before scaling them.
  • Help marketers use approved AI and automation capabilities in partnership with IT and security.
  • Lead campaign operations from intake and prioritization through build, testing, launch, and measurement.
  • Establish an agile operating rhythm with a visible backlog, clear briefs, capacity planning, short delivery cycles, and regular retrospectives.
  • Create reusable campaign templates, audience logic, and quality checks.
  • Coordinate dependencies across demand generation, product marketing, content, digital, and regional teams.
  • Use delivery data to identify bottlenecks, reduce rework, and improve time from campaign brief to launch.
  • Own marketing’s measurement framework, connecting investment and engagement to pipeline creation, progression, revenue, and customer growth.
  • Partner with RevOps and Finance to establish consistent definitions for lifecycle stages, sourcing, influence, conversion, and reporting.
  • Build performance visibility at person, buying-group, and account levels, including parent-child account relationships.
  • Use attribution, cohort analysis, and controlled experiments to assess performance, and communicate the limits of attribution.
  • Deliver reporting that helps leaders decide where to invest, what to change, and what to stop.
  • Monitor funnel volume, conversion, velocity, pipeline quality, and spend efficiency across relevant segments and channels.
  • Own marketing’s approach to segmentation, scoring, nurture, campaign tracking, and data quality.
  • Partner with RevOps on routing, handoff rules, and service-level agreements, and provide visibility into follow-up and progression.
  • Use Clay, ZoomInfo, and other enrichment tools to develop targeted account and contact lists for inbound and outbound programs.
  • Establish enrichment, validation, deduplication, and database-maintenance practices to keep prospect and customer data accurate, complete, and actionable.
  • Connect customer signals with marketing actions to support adoption, cross-sell, and expansion in partnership with customer success.
  • Establish standards for campaign taxonomy, timestamps, consent, deduplication, and account matching.
  • Investigate performance changes and data issues at their source and correct underlying processes.
  • Lead and develop the marketing operations team and manage agency or contractor support where appropriate.
  • Prioritize work based on business impact, team capacity, and operating cost.
  • Partner with the CMO and Finance on technology and campaign spend planning, tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Build working relationships across marketing, sales, customer success, RevOps, Finance, and IT.
  • Translate technical choices and analytical findings into clear business recommendations.
