About The Position

Random Golf Club is building a different kind of golf community, catering to players overlooked by the traditional game. They focus on cultural relevance, a distinct voice, and rapid growth. The company runs events, creates content, and builds partnerships. The role of Freelance Marketing Lead is to own the marketing function end-to-end, translating brand and creative work into measurable growth across key metrics such as members, attendance, signups, engagement, and revenue. This is a hands-on position where the individual will be responsible for the execution across all owned and paid channels, acting as the operational force behind the brand's engine.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of marketing experience, preferably in a challenger brand, DTC business, or culturally credible lifestyle brand.
  • Proven ability to operate across multiple marketing functions: building paid campaigns, creating CRM flows, briefing developers, analyzing dashboards, and providing strategic direction.
  • Deep understanding of golf culture, including players, tours, brands, and the overall community.
  • Strong judgment regarding brand alignment for marketing materials and creative output.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a small team environment with ownership of outcomes.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools such as Klaviyo or equivalent, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the marketing calendar, aligning with events, product drops, partnerships, and brand moments.
  • Oversee CRM and lifecycle marketing, managing the customer journey from acquisition to retention.
  • Develop and execute paid media strategies across social, search, and other relevant channels.
  • Manage email and newsletter strategy, calendar, and performance.
  • Develop organic social distribution strategy in collaboration with the brand and creative team.
  • Manage SEO and the marketing aspects of the website.
  • Oversee analytics, attribution, and reporting, providing insights on marketing effectiveness.
  • Manage the marketing budget.
