About The Position

Cristo Rey Fort Worth College Prep is seeking a Marketing & Events Assistant to provide day-to-day support for the school’s marketing, communications, social media, events, and creative initiatives. This role is crucial in assisting the Marketing & Events Manager with project execution, maintaining consistent communications, and sharing the Cristo Rey Fort Worth story across various audiences and channels. The assistant will help coordinate projects, create and schedule content, organize marketing materials, support school and advancement events, and provide administrative assistance to ensure the department runs smoothly and responsively. The ideal candidate is mission-driven, creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager for professional growth. This paid, part-time position is suitable for current college students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals, typically involving 15 hours per week across two consistent on-site days. Cristo Rey Fort Worth is open to working with enrolled students seeking academic internship credit when feasible.

Requirements

  • Internship, volunteer, campus, or professional experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, events, or a related area.
  • Basic photography, videography, video-editing, or graphic-design skills.
  • Applicants should be prepared to share relevant work samples, such as social media posts, graphics, photographs, short videos, or writing samples.
  • Personal commitment to the mission of Cristo Rey Fort Worth and enthusiasm for telling stories that reflect the accomplishments, potential, and experiences of its students and community.
  • Working knowledge of major social media platforms and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, along with familiarity with design and content-creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, collaborate with others, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Current enrollment in or completion of a degree program in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital media, business, or a related field.
  • Relevant internship, campus leadership, volunteer, portfolio, or project experience will also be considered.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with social media scheduling, email marketing, website content management, or project-management platforms.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit organizations, education, fundraising communications, or mission-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing & Events Manager in implementing school-wide marketing and communications plans, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Maintain marketing project calendars, timelines, task lists, and other project-tracking tools to help ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate campaign logistics, including collecting content, requesting approvals, preparing materials, and communicating deadlines with internal departments.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of marketing materials for advancement, admissions, Corporate Work Study, academics, student life, and other school departments.
  • Proofread and review materials for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and adherence to Cristo Rey Fort Worth brand standards.
  • Help gather stories, photographs, testimonials, data, and other content demonstrating student achievement and organizational impact.
  • Support email marketing campaigns, newsletters, website updates, direct-mail projects, and other communications as assigned.
  • Assist with maintaining the school’s social media content calendar and coordinating upcoming posts, campaigns, events, and deadlines.
  • Create, write, schedule, and publish engaging social media content under the direction of the Marketing & Events Manager.
  • Develop basic graphics, short-form videos, reels, stories, and other digital content showcasing students, alumni, faculty, corporate partners, donors, events, and school programs.
  • Monitor social media accounts and support appropriate community engagement by responding to or routing comments, questions, and messages.
  • Assist with photography and video capture at school activities and events.
  • Identify student, faculty, alumni, donor, and partner stories that may be appropriate for future marketing content.
  • Stay informed about social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats and share relevant opportunities with the Marketing & Events Manager.
  • Support basic website content updates as needed.
  • Organize, catalog, and maintain the department’s library of photography, video, logos, templates, graphics, advertisements, printed materials, and other creative assets.
  • Maintain organized digital folders and naming conventions so approved materials can be located and shared efficiently.
  • Help ensure school logos, photography, templates, and other brand assets are used consistently and appropriately.
  • Fulfill internal requests for approved marketing materials and coordinate the distribution of digital and printed assets.
  • Maintain an inventory of brochures, signage, promotional items, event materials, and other marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate files and specifications with printers, photographers, designers, and other vendors as directed by the Marketing & Events Manager.
  • Archive completed campaigns and event materials for future reference.
  • Support the Marketing & Events Manager in promoting and executing school, donor, admissions, Corporate Work Study, and community events.
  • Assist with event timelines, invitations, registration materials, signage, programs, presentations, promotional materials, and digital communications.
  • Coordinate event-related marketing tasks with staff members, vendors, volunteers, and other partners.
  • Provide on-site event support, including setup, photography and video capture, guest materials, signage, and other logistical needs.
  • Assist with post-event communications, including thank-you messages, social media recaps, photo organization, and documentation.
  • Maintain organized records of event materials, attendance information, photographs, and communications for future planning.
  • Support other event logistics as assigned by the Marketing & Events Manager.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing & Events Manager and marketing department.
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, prepare meeting materials, and assist with follow-up items.
  • Enter and organize marketing, event, advertising, and communications data as needed.
  • Assist with compiling basic reports related to social media, digital campaigns, events, and other marketing activities.
  • Process invoices, purchase requests, vendor documentation, and other departmental paperwork according to school procedures.
  • Coordinate communications and project details with external vendors, including printers, photographers, videographers, designers, and promotional-product companies.
  • Maintain departmental files, contact lists, calendars, supply inventories, and other organizational systems.
  • Perform other marketing, communications, event, and administrative duties as assigned.
