Growth Platform, Marketing Engineer

Faire•New York City, NY
•Hybrid

About The Position

Faire’s marketing organization relies heavily on systems that are not currently built by marketing. These systems include audience and attribute management, campaign automation, landing page creation, attribution tracking, translation services, paid feed management, and monitoring and alerting. Currently, most of these tasks are handled on a request-by-request basis or depend on a partner engineering team with its own roadmap. The Marketing Engineer will be responsible for building these systems within the marketing department, utilizing Faire’s production stack. This role will empower marketers to operate independently. This is an engineering position embedded within the marketing team. The engineer will write production code across Faire’s codebase, own services end-to-end, participate in on-call rotations, and integrate reliable agents into marketing workflows with appropriate evaluations and monitoring for scalability. Success will be measured by the marketing organization gaining new capabilities. The scope of ownership can encompass various areas, including paid media tooling and feed automation, the landing page framework, lifecycle and campaign systems, the marketing data layer, internal platform tooling, and the consumption layer for Faire’s recommendation and propensity models within marketing surfaces. The role will also involve defining collaboration strategies with broader EPDD partner teams.

  • Daily use of AI coding agents.
  • Experience integrating LLMs into production systems with evaluations, monitoring, and defined failure modes.
  • A track record of owning a system end-to-end, including on-call responsibilities, and successfully delivering it to non-technical users.
  • Ability to put agents into the patterned majority of requests, with an evaluation harness, monitoring, and a defined failure mode.

Nice To Haves
