About The Position

Lavallee Brensinger Architects is seeking a proactive, curious, and collaborative Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to help identify opportunities, build relationships, and support the firm’s growth. The position combines market research, strategic thinking, networking, and hands-on coordination. Working closely with the Marketing/BD Director, Studio Leaders, and the Marketing/BD team, the Coordinator will develop an understanding of the firm’s clients, markets, and project experience; advance business development plans for assigned markets and geographic areas; contribute recommendations; and take ownership of outreach and follow-up. The firm is an award-winning team of approximately 65 designers and architects. Its work spans Healthcare, Education, Workspace, Science & Technology, Civic, Justice & Public Safety, and Senior Living. Through collaborative planning and design, the firm builds lasting client relationships and creates environments that bring clients’ missions and visions to life. The position supports market and opportunity research, business development planning, relationship building, new-market development, CRM maintenance, event coordination, pursuit materials, marketing collaboration, client feedback, and process improvement. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years of relevant experience. The role may involve occasional professional or community events outside regular business hours and travel as needed. An optional hybrid work arrangement is available.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign is preferred.
Experience with CRM systems or demonstrated ability to learn and maintain contact and opportunity databases.
Comfort learning and applying new technology, including AI tools.
Willingness to attend professional and community events, including occasional events outside regular business hours, and travel as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in business development, marketing, market research, client relations, or a related role.

Nice To Haves

Experience in architecture, engineering, construction (A/E/C), or one of the firm’s client markets.
Familiarity with proposal development.
Involvement in SMPS or other relevant professional or community organizations.

Responsibilities

Research target markets, prospective clients, decision-makers, and potential projects using industry news, board meeting minutes, and planning documents; summarize findings and recommend outreach and pursuit-planning next steps.
Work with Studio Leaders to translate firm and studio priorities into focused business development activities; track action items, coordinate contributions, and follow through on commitments.
Build a professional network through industry associations, community organizations, events, and individual connections; coordinate introductions, participate in outreach, and support relationship development.
Help establish the firm’s presence in new geographic markets by identifying local partners, relevant organizations, and opportunities to make connections.
Maintain accurate client, prospect, contact, and opportunity information in the CRM system; document interactions, track follow-up, and prepare reports to assess progress and prioritize efforts.
Research and recommend relevant conferences, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and networking events; coordinate participation and logistics, help attendees prepare, and track contacts and follow-up afterward.
Partner with pursuit teams to develop, produce, and deliver qualifications packages, proposals, and interview materials.
Work with the marketing team to develop collateral, advertisements, and digital and print campaigns.
Support client check-ins and feedback efforts to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to better serve existing clients.
Explore practical uses of AI and other tools to improve research, information tracking, and coordination; review work for accuracy and relevance.
