About The Position

Ares Interactive is looking for a Marketing Associate to join their growing publishing and marketing team. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone who is passionate about games and eager to build a long-term career in the gaming industry. This role is intentionally broad, offering hands-on experience across multiple areas of game marketing including brand marketing, social media, community management, live operations marketing, customer support, campaign execution, and player communications. The associate will report to the Head of Product Marketing and work closely with experienced team members across publishing, product marketing, community, and live ops while supporting a growing portfolio of live-service games. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, collaborative, adaptable, and excited to learn.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or related field
• Passion for video games and gaming culture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable learning new tools and workflows quickly
• Familiarity with major social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, Discord, and Reddit
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to jump into different types of work

Nice To Haves

• Experience running personal social channels, student projects, gaming communities, or internships is a plus
• Experience creating social or video content
• Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, Premiere, GenAI/LLM or similar tools
• Knowledge of mobile/live-service games
• Experience using tools such as Discord, Google Workspace, or project management tools

Responsibilities

• Support marketing campaigns and live-service initiatives across multiple games
• Assist with social media planning, publishing, and community engagement
• Help create and coordinate marketing assets, copy, and promotional materials
• Support player communications including release notes, blogs, and announcements
• Assist with community management across Discord and social platforms
• Help monitor player sentiment, community feedback, and competitor activity
• Provide vacation coverage and operational support for Community Managers when needed
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product Marketing, User Acquisition, Customer Support, Live Ops, and Development
• Support customer support escalation tracking and player issue communication
• Assist with influencer, creator, and platform-related initiatives
• Help maintain marketing calendars, trackers, reports, and campaign documentation
• Participate in QA/testing support for marketing beats and live events
