About The Position

The Market Retail Manager is responsible for establishing, overseeing, and directing all key performance elements within assigned branches, which include Sales, Business Development, Customer Service, Hiring Processes, Delivery of Products and Services, and Security and Compliance Performance within the branches. The Market Retail Manager is responsible for developing, coaching, and leading their teams to retain, build new, and grow existing businesses for the bank. They also work with local management providing input for goal setting, profitable growth for the market, and the budgeting process. All retail associates within the assigned branches will report to the Market Retail Manager.

Requirements

Strong leadership capabilities-ability to motivate, direct, and empower team members and associates by providing a positive team environment.
Time management, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and write procedures, general business correspondence (including short- to- simple correspondence), routine reports, and memos.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as simple instructions, procedure manuals, journals, and government regulations.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients and other employees in the organization, including top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with other lines of businesses within the bank.
BS/BA degree or 4-6 years relevant experience.
MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

Managing multiple, assigned branches.
Responding to customer issues arising in branches, including answering inquiries, complying with requests, and resolving internal and external complaints.
Providing leadership to staff by coaching branch management teams to achieve their goals.
Assisting branch management or directing/coaching all branch associates to ensure all branches and individual sales are met, and exceptional customer service is provided.
Working with branch management teams to assist with prospect lists and development of ideas for new businesses for the branch/bank.
Attending community involvement and branch activities periodically with assigned branch management team.
Working with branch managers to determine staffing needs and assist with making the right hire.
Working with branch management staff on coaching and disciplinary action, as needed, to ensure expectations for all positions are being met.
Working with branch management teams to ensure all associates are receiving training and evaluations are completed in a timely manner.
Working with management on staff scheduling and evaluating staffing levels to ensure branches are properly staffed and complying with the staffing model.
Reviewing bankers’ dashboards regularly and coaching branch management teams to review banker’s dashboards and budgets, as needed.
Maintaining timely sales, compliance, and security records.
Conducting regular reviews of audit and documentation to verify compliance.
Ensuring all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, including completion of required compliance training.
Monitoring customer touch points to ensure development and implementation of programs to cross-sell services.
Monitoring, measuring, and managing sales and business development programs.
Developing and monitoring sales contests.
Coaching and training retail associates on how to successfully conduct internal and external sales.
Overseeing performance management for retail staff, including ensuring opportunities for staff development and retention of key employees.
Instilling and reinforcing culture cornerstones and creating a great place to work for all retail associates.
Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
