About The Position

The Market is a gourmet eatery and retail shop in the lobby of The Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville, Maryland. Open daily for breakfast and lunch, it offers food and a gift boutique. Market Attendants assist guests with food orders, including taking orders and delivering food, and help customers with their shopping experience. No experience is necessary; the employer is seeking hardworking, customer-focused individuals.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service through a professional presence, courteous engagement, and timely, solution-oriented support.
• Handle cash and process point-of-sale transactions accurately, using multiple payment methods and following company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, retail merchandise, amenities, and services to promote sales and guide guest decisions.
• Serve alcohol responsibly by checking identification, monitoring guest behavior, following TIPS guidelines, and escalating concerns appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety standards, and table service; complete side work and keep the Market ready throughout each shift.
• Assist with merchandising, promotional displays, inventory presentation, and retail organization.
• Support onboarding and training of new associates, collaborate with culinary partners, and share process-improvement ideas.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment while prioritizing tasks and staying composed during busy periods.
• Take food orders and deliver food to customers.
• Assist customers with shopping in the gift boutique.
