About The Position

Brock University is seeking Marker-Graders for HLSC 3P99 Winter D3. This role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams. The marker-grader will provide written feedback to students, identifying the basis of the grade assigned. Responsibilities may also include invigilating mid-terms and examinations, and entering grades into databases, as requested by the course instructor. Compensation is based on the highest qualification held by the employee, with rates effective September 1, 2026.

Requirements

An undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or a related discipline.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Available to provide feedback in person and, when required, online.
Proficiency with online delivery tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace), computer spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and electronic audience response systems.

Nice To Haves

Brock fourth year (honours) students in Health Sciences or related discipline will be considered if vacancies remain.
Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
Completion of this course within the last three years is an asset.
Experience or training with online synchronous and asynchronous course support.

Responsibilities

Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned.
Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
