About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the BCHM 3P02 Winter D3 course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The marker-grader will be responsible for evaluating student work and providing written feedback. Compensation is based on the highest degree or level of undergraduate study completed, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Requirements

Must have completed BCHM 3P02 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
Graduate of or Major in Biological Sciences with a minimum major average of 75%.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
Potentially invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course.
Potentially enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
