About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Marker-Grader position in the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for the course Introduction to Indigenous Studies (INDG 1F90). The marker-grader is responsible for marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams. They must provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, considering substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases at the request of the course instructor. Requirements

Enrolled in or completed a relevant university degree program
Experience with Indigenous studies and Indigenous research methodologies
Strong understanding of Indigenous paradigms
Lived experience as an Indigenous person
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned.
Ensure feedback addresses substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, if requested by the course instructor.
Enter grades into databases, if requested by the course instructor.
