About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Marker-Grader position in the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for the course COSC 4V88 Computing Topics II. The position is paid according to the qualifications the employee holds, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The marker-grader is expected to mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams and provide written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases at the request of the course instructor. Requirements
- Must have completed COSC 4V88 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher
- Graduate of or Major in Computer Science with a minimum major average of 75%
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, whether due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
- Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, at the request of the course instructor.
- Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
