About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for Marker-Grader positions within CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for CHEM 1P91 in the Fall D2-2 term. Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications the employee holds, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The specific rates are: Master’s Degree Complete ($36.00/hour), Undergraduate Degree Complete ($31.04/hour), Third Year Complete ($22.91/hour), Second Year Complete ($20.15/hour), and First Year Complete ($19.00/hour). Requirements

Must have completed CHEM 1P91 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
Graduate of or Major in Chemistry with a minimum major average of 75%.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, whether due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, at the request of the course instructor.
Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
