About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Marker-Grader position within CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for CHEM 2P42 Fall D2. Marker-Graders are paid according to their qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The duties involve marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases as requested by the course instructor. Requirements

Must have completed CHEM 4P42 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
Graduate of or Major in Chemistry with a minimum major average of 75%.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, at the request of the course instructor.
Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
