About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the ECON 2P28 Fall D2 course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for Marker-Grader positions is based on the employee's qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Requirements

  • Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course.
  • Graduate of, or Major in, Economics with a minimum major average of 75%.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain subject material to students.
  • Punctual in attending classes and regular in-person meetings on campus during normal working hours.
  • Able to meet appropriate deadlines.
  • Must review the current timetable for the position and clearly indicate in their cover letter which scheduled times they are NOT available for.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, whether due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
  • May be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course.
  • May be expected to enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
