About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the CHYS 3P28 Winter D3 course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Compensation is based on the employee's qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Requirements
- Minimum 3rd Year complete in the CHYS BA or CHYS BA/BEd program, or be entering and/or continuing in the CHYS MA or CHYS PhD program.
- Must have previously completed CHYS 3P28 or equivalent, and obtained 80% or higher.
- Evidence of communication skills (i.e., letter of reference attesting to communication skills as a student in seminar or evaluation of successful previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Marker-Grader).
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to identify the course for consideration of equivalency. For courses taken at Brock, identify the course (i.e., XXXX 3P00). For courses taken elsewhere provide a copy of your transcript, highlight the course and provide the course description. Failure to provide the required documentation to support the request for consideration of equivalency will result in an incomplete application.

Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Potentially invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course.
- Potentially enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
