About The Position
Brock University is seeking Marker Graders for ACTG 1P01 Introduction to Financial Accounting for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation is based on the qualifications of the employee, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Positions are subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval. Requirements
- Must have completed ACTG 1P01 Introduction to Financial Accounting (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
- Graduate of or Major in Accounting with a minimum major average of 75%.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, whether due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
- May be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, or enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
