About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker Grader for ACTG 3P43 for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation is based on the employee's qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The specific number of positions available may vary based on course enrollments and budgetary approval. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be asked to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases. Requirements

  • Must have completed ACTG 3P41 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
  • Graduate of or Major in Accounting with a minimum major average of 75%.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
  • Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
  • Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
