About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) ACTG 4P12 Integration & Problem Solving Compensation Marker-Grader positions. Compensation for these positions is based on the qualifications of the employee, with different hourly rates effective September 1, 2026, for individuals holding a Master’s Degree Complete ($36.00/hour), Undergraduate Degree Complete ($31.04/hour), Third Year Complete ($22.91/hour), Second Year Complete ($20.15/hour), and First Year Complete ($19.00/hour). Due to limited hours, not all positions may be filled, and positions are subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval. Duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement. The marker-grader is expected to mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams. They must provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade, whether it relates to substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, or overall structure and organization. The marker-grader may also be asked to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases at the request of the course instructor.

Requirements

Must have completed ACTG 4P12 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
Graduate of or Major in Accounting with a minimum major average of 75%.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned.
Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, at the request of the course instructor.
Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
