About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) MPAC 5P03-Managerial Accounting Course Description. The course focuses on internal recording systems devised to implement and guide management planning and control with particular emphasis on cost finding, product costing, cost behaviour and cost allocations, as well as the analysis and communication of relevant information to users in a professional manner. Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. Due to limited hours available, not all positions may move beyond the posting stage. Positions listed on this posting are subject to course enrolments and budgetary approval.

Requirements

• Must have completed MPAC 5P03 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
• Graduate of or Major in Accounting with a minimum major average of 75%.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that will clearly identify the basis of the grade assigned, whether it is due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
• Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, or enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
