About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Marker Grader for the MPAC 5P51 course for the Fall D2 term. This position is paid according to qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The specific course covers current issues in developing and managing accounting information systems, including value chain modeling, business process modeling, database implementation using REA, and business reporting using XBRL. Positions are subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval, and not all posted positions may move beyond the posting stage due to limited hours.
Requirements
- Must have completed MPAC 5P51 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
- Graduate of or Major in Accounting with a minimum major average of 75%.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- May be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course.
- May be expected to enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
