About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the course Classic and Contemporary Discourses in Women's and Gender Studies (WGST 2P00) for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of CUPE4207-1. The compensation for Marker-Grader positions is based on the employee's qualifications, with rates ranging from $19.00/hour for First Year Complete to $36.00/hour for Master’s Degree Complete (effective September 1, 2026). Requirements
- A major average of at least 80% or better.
- Knowledge of the course subject matter is required.
- Ability to perform the various duties of the position (past experience as a Marker-Grader, relevant work experience and/or academic recommendation).
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the subject area.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Potentially invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course.
- Potentially enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
