About The Position

The Marine Service Technician performs service and warranty repairs on boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs in a timely and efficient manner according to manufacturer specifications. The role troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical issues, installs accessories, performs rigging, and helps customers understand technical questions and product operation. The technician works under general supervision using established procedures, while applying occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommending improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Understand electrical systems and wiring.
• Communicate professionally with customers and associates.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, associates, and customers.
• Lift up to and in excess of 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Work both indoors and outdoors.
• Provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

• Higher-level technical certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical problems on boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs.
• Install accessory items.
• Advise customers on technical questions and provide recommendations to support customer satisfaction.
• Water test units with customers to verify completed work and explain product operation.
• Perform rigging as required.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
