About The Position

Woodward is hiring a Manufacturing Aerospace Technician to support the manufacture of hydraulic actuators for aircraft at a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The role works in a team-based manufacturing environment, executing technical processes, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across shared work areas and production lines. The technician will perform and optimize complex CMM or comparable inspection processes, coordinate across teams, troubleshoot recurring or complex issues, and help improve process capability through training and mentoring. The position offers opportunities to grow and develop while working with automated manufacturing technologies. The position requires use of information subject to ITAR and/or EAR. Applicants must be U.S. Persons under those regulations or eligible to obtain required government authorizations. The position is expected to be designated a DOT safety-sensitive position in the future; when that designation takes effect, a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test will be required before safety-sensitive duties are performed.

Requirements

Experience performing CMM or other inspection processes.
Proficiency in fabrication techniques.
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and design intent, including GD&T.
Knowledge of inspection processes such as CMM, Flo Pen, and Mag Inspect.
Ability to coordinate across functions and communicate effectively, give and receive feedback, and support team decisions.
Ability to lead structured root cause analysis using formal tools and methodologies.
Ability to evaluate trends, data, and system performance to prevent recurring issues.
Knowledge of AS9100/ISO standards and specifications.
Ability to develop and improve procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
Ability to train, mentor, and develop others across multiple technical areas.
Ability to lead process improvements and support lean initiatives.
Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds; some product lines have heavier lifting requirements.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.
May be required to pass near-vision and/or color-vision examinations.
Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
