Production Technician - Aerospace Manufacturing
About The Position
The Production Technician works hands-on with precision metal components used in aircraft manufacturing. This is an entry-level position; formal aerospace experience is not required, and training will be provided. The role involves operating metal-processing equipment, handling parts, following production instructions, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position offers experience in aerospace manufacturing, a stable and safety-focused work environment, and opportunities to develop skills and advance within production roles. Available shifts are 1st shift, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., and 2nd shift, 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m. Applicants for select positions may need to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent residence, or immigration status to meet ITAR/EAR requirements. Offers are contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening. The facility maintains a drug-free workplace policy, including for marijuana, in compliance with federal law.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Comfort with basic math, including fractions, decimals, and measurements.
- Reliability, attention to doing work correctly, and ability to work well with a team.
- Eagerness to learn and develop manufacturing skills.
- Some mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and machinery.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hands-on, warehouse, fabrication, machine-operator, or production experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and manufacturing equipment used in metal processing, including cleaning, deburring, bending, pressing, and basic machining.
- Load and secure metal parts onto machines or worktables using hand tools and fixtures.
- Remove completed parts and stage them for the next process.
- Follow production standards and work instructions with precision and care.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
