About The Position

The Manager, Technology Operations, leads the planning, execution, and oversight of multiple complex technology projects aligned with strategic goals. This role is responsible for supporting a shift that works Thursday through Saturday from 6:45 to 19:30 and every other Wednesday, and requires willingness to work holidays as they fall in the schedule. The manager will work with the team to ensure all critical flows and systems are stable and processing as expected. The Technology Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of technology platforms, systems, products, or applications that are deployed to production. This role ensures operational excellence, reliability, and performance of critical systems, while also managing a team dedicated to operational support. The manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, implement process improvements, and maintain compliance with organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in mainframe environments such as z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, and MQ.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., CA7), security protocols (RACF), and operational monitoring tools (e.g., Auto Operator, I-Dash) is highly valuable.
  • 6+ years of experience.
  • Understanding of mainframe security practices, including access provisioning/deprovisioning, privileged account management, and compliance with corporate standards (e.g., RACF, password policies).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (DBA, Security, DevOps, Operations).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in maintaining operational documentation.
  • Strong skills in following standard operating procedures.
  • Strong skills in ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, adapt to evolving technologies, and stay current with industry best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 3 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • OR 5 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
