About The Position

Role summary: The Senior Manager, Technology Operations, leads the planning and execution of multiple complex technology programs aligned with strategic objectives. We are seeking a strategic leader to drive supply chain strategy for Walmart Fulfillment Services. This analytical leader will speed up and scale our fulfillment network by defining and delivering optimal solutions for: inventory distribution, operational flows, and asset design. The ideal candidate will be heavily analytical and be able to connect multiple facets of a business, from technology to seller sentiment. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who excels at leading cross-functional technological work, shaping processes, and influencing outcomes at scale. About the team: You’ll join a team focused on optimizing operations, partnering across departments, and delivering business improvements that support both near-term execution and long-term strategy. The team collaborates closely with leaders, associates, and stakeholders to enhance efficiency, strengthen communication, and align work to organizational priorities. Your contributions will directly support business readiness, decision quality, and enterprise-wide performance.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in program and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of technology strategies and ability to align business unit requirements with technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced SQL experience
  • Ability to evaluate tradeoffs and use data to guide the team’s decision making
  • Detail-oriented, and able to carve through deep layers to promote the right solutions for a wide array of sellers and business cases.
  • Up-to-date knowledge on cutting-edge automation and technology.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business,information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years’ experience inproject management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Option 2: 7 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 4 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple technology projects within a program, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and manage financial plans, track expenditures, and optimize resource allocation across projects to maximize return on investment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technology solutions, fostering clear communication and consensus.
  • Model and analyze strategic decisions for WFS supply chain strategy and advise the business accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the speed, cost, and scale of the WFS business.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business Operations to drive operational strategy and process improvements.
  • Integrate automation, AI, or platform capabilities to improve efficiency
